I'm Ready

I'm ready for 2014 to be over now... and ready for 2015 to start. Next year is going to be a good year. I can feel it in my bones.
I woke up this morning and felt hopeful. I have no idea why, or what changed, but I'm going with it. We've got our Christmas shopping done. We've taken Georgia to her first carols by candlelight, looked at pretty lights, visited family for the holidays.. it's been a great week.
Today we decided to book ourselves a holiday for next year. We've been to-ing and fro-ing about it for a while now, but I'm sick of putting things off 'in case' we get pregnant. The plan is this: we'll do a FET in January, and then go away in February. We're off to Fiji for 5 days - and I anticipate lots of chilling out and relaxing. We'll either be newly pregnant if we get lucky, or we won't be. Either way, we'll have something to look forward to. :)
I hope the positivity continues - it's nice feeling this way.

Hi there. I'm here for ICLW. I think Fiji sounds divine! Good for you for not putting your life on hold. That's one of the worst symptoms of IF...living in a state of perpetual uncertainty. Much luck to you and enjoy your holidays.

Planning a trip sounds like a grand idea. Maybe I should plan one too.
Fiji!! SOUNDS AMAZING! Can't wait to hear about it.

Ditto that! It should be great timing too. You either will or wont be pregant and you'll be in the best places of the world (though Austrailia isnt so bad either) to celebrate, or regroup. I try to take each moment as it comes, and deal with one issue at a time. Crossing my fingers for you!

What a wonderful plan! Fiji will be excellent whether you're pregnant or not, but hopefully you have something to celebrate when you're there.

Hi, I'm visiting from ICWL. Fiji sounds great. I want to go too! I know you've probably tried lots of stuff for the infertility and miscarriages, and you can ignore this if you want, but I have to share some stuff I've learned through my fibromyalgia journey.

I had never been pregnant (not for lack of effort) and became pregnant one month after quitting eating wheat. That was at 46 years old. Wheat/gluten made me infertile.

I have some genetic mutations that cause fibromyalgia symptoms, but also can cause miscarriages. Look up MTHFR and miscarriages. I think I read that since people with MTHFR mutations can't process folic acid, the folic acid in prenatal pills actually may contribute to miscarriages. I can't remember all the details, but worth looking up if you haven't heard of this before. :-)
