Did you know . . . that it was exactly six months ago when I arrived in London?
Six months - how time flies. That means I've been in my current job for nearly six months too, which is mind boggling. I love our little life here. I love the routine of working, coming home to Oscar, and snuggling with my boys on the lounge. Moving here was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I'm so glad that we've made it work.
My life is full of random bits and pieces lately. Nothing super special going on, just working and trying to save, save, save for the States. (Six weeks to go!) Jase is also probably starting a new job in a few weeks that means I'll be seeing him a lot less, so I'm trying to hang around home and veg with him as much as possible.
Did anyone ever use to watch Felicity? There's a barrista at the Starbucks near my work who looks and sounds totally like Javier. I think I love him. He calls me darling.
And on a random note to finish off, how's this for good luck? I was walking home from the train station this afternoon when a huge gust of wind blew my skirt up and around my armpits. Thankfully there was nobody walking along behind me (that I know of at least) and that I was wearing nice undies. Score!
P.S. My cat is adorable and I love him. The End.

We need to plan a rendezvous in New Orleans...
Felicity is the my favorite show in the world, forever and ever, amen. And I LOVE Javier.
Of course I watched Felicity! How funny that you have your own Javier!
How much longer are you staying in London?
I can't believe how soon your US trip is. You are going to have so much fun.
Eeek your skirt! That kind of stuff always happens to me.
I would have a hard time not hugging that Javier barrista if I were you. I heart Javier.
I thought that skirt thing only happened in movies. Glad you're enjoying yourself over there! You weathered the worst of the weather!
Sometimes when there's nothing new or "exciting" to write about, it means that things are going so well and contentedly that when you look back on it, it seems like a little slice of heaven. I am so happy you are happy to be there, and yay for cute undies!
I wish Felicity would come back on the air.
And that, my dear, is why I don't wear dresses. :)
Haha, classic skirt story! I can't wait to see you here!! So! Excited!
xox
Yes I used to watch Felicity and totally loved Javier :)
people here were bemoaning how fast the year is going and that we are halfway though the year already ... i said it made me happy ... because it meant my girl was closer to coming home !!!
Don't fall in love with it toooooooo much and decide to stay !!!!
email me ... need to hear about Jase's new job (and his other application thingie)
SIX MONTHS? REALLY? Yes, time has flown! Wow! Oh and YES I watched Felicity. LOVED Javier! I can't believe you're coming to the states! Yay!
Your Mum is ADORABLE. :) How CUTE!!!
I admire your tenacity in moving. I might copy you. :)
Are you coming through Tulsa when you get to the United States? 'Cos if you are, you need to look me up.
Oscar is super cute. And we're looking forward to having you on this side of the pond!
JAVIER!!
He was great! I wish I had a barrista that was like him... Really. It'd make life a whole lot more fun. Coffee, too.
BEN-JAH-MEEEIN
Six months? Wow. It seems like just yesterday you were struggling with packing.
I love Javier.
I can't believe you've been in the UK for six months already! Wow!
Time certainly DOES go by fast. You've done a lot since you've been there, too, which contributes to that. Other than being so far away from your family, you seem to be having a pretty good time! :)
I could pretty much end every post with that PS :)
Ha ha!! The whole skirt blowing up thing made me think of the Sex and the City intro where Carrie gets splashed by the bus in her cute tutu skirt :)
I LOVED Felicity. Also, am wondering: if a barista is male, is he a baristo?
