IVF #2 Grab 'n Stab: Day 4

It's already time for another ICLW - wow, did that go by fast or what? Hi to everyone stopping by. To give you a brief summary, we're getting to the fun part of our second IVF cycle. Our first was back in April - I had a pretty average response, with only 5 eggs collected. Of the 3 that were mature, 2 fertilised, and only 1 developed, so I had a 3-day transfer which didn't take.

I'm on Day 4 of my Puregon injections - and I'm already feeling things happening with my dodgy ovaries. In the last cycle, I felt twinges at around day 5. This time around, my dose has gone from 125 to 175 and I'm wondering if that's why I'm feeling things a bit earlier. Tomorrow, I go down to 150 ... and I'll stay on that dose until our blood draws and ultrasounds next week.
I've got a strange feeling about this cycle. I'm hopeful that things will work out differently, and praying that I respond better this time around. I'm wondering if we'll get lucky at egg collection, if we'll maybe have a chance to get some frozen embryos this time. It's all speculation of course, but I'm keeping fingers crossed.

Greetings from ICLW!

You ARE at the fun part of IVF... love those hormones. Have you contemplated slapping a stranger? Climbing to the top of a clocktower in a clown suit?

ahh, hormones.

Wishing you loads of luck! I'm in a similar boat - doing IVF#2 in a couple of months probably - I had 10 eggs but only ONE fertilized. Cheers to extra challenges.

Wishing you lots of luck!

I am so glad you're feeling hopeful. The second IVF can be so much better than the first, and I hope that your symptoms are a sign that things are going in that direction. Can't wait for your u/s report next week! Fingers crossed!
