Lead Me To Your Door.

Am exhausted today, after literally squeezing into the tube and heading into Covent Gardens for a teaching agency interview. It was a typically grey and miserable day, and I was glad to get back home - but it being dark at 3.37pm is completely bizarre. It feels like bedtime, yet it's the early afternoon. It'll be strange for a while.

I took a few pictures of the apartment this morning, so feel free to have a squiz!

This is the cute kitchen, where Jason has been making me eat strange green vegetables. They've been fairly good so far, but sssh. He might end up with a big head.

Here is the bedroom, which is actually a lot bigger in person than it looks in the picture. (Oh, and do you see the messy bed? That's what I got when I asked Jason to make it so I could take a picture. I think that perhaps he should stick to cooking. And ironing.)

And my favourite room: the lounge/living room. It's got a comfy lounge, a cute coffee table, and a huge window that opens onto a balcony. Also note the lovely treadmill/cross trainer of death. Seriously, that thing is insanely hard. I think I hate it.

This is the view out of the balcony, towards the river: just through those arches, and all around the bend, you'll find the water. We're a moment away from the Thames!

This is the view up the other end of the street: to get to the railway station, you walk to the end and turn right, that's it. It's a really gorgeous area, I love it to bits!

And last but not least... the both of us, sick, tired and slightly grumpy. Squee!

It's so Londony! I hope you both feel better soon!

Yeah, it's home! Woohoo! And that's exactly how my OH "makes" the bed. As if they've never *seen* a made bed before to at least try and copy?

Love the photo of you two :)

Hello from one of your mum's Route 66 friends! Just had to check in and see how you were doing ... and ask if that kitchen is as well-designed as it looks. (Poorly designed kitchens are a pet peeve of mine ... and conversely, I'm nuts about small, efficiently designed rooms that manage to be fun to use without taking up monstrous amounts of space.)

Glad to hear you and England are getting along well despite the sniffles. :)

That kitchen really is adorable! And your neighborhood looks beautiful! Jason sure does know how to pick an apartment!

Thanks for the tour so early on! Jason did a great job scouting out places; that kitchen is seriously cute. I agree that you both look darn good for being sick and whatnot. And hey - it's the weekend so you can kick back and get used to everything.

Love the apartment! You guys look so cute, you seriously don't look sick. And it gets dark there at 3:30 in the afternoon?! Yikes!

You two are so cute.

And the apartment and neighborhood are very Londony.

And welcome to winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Where it is dark when you get up and dark when you leave work. It sucks. As if I didn't hate winter enough.

And also, he didn't bring the treadmill and elliptical with him, did he? Man, I wish I had enough room for one of those in my house.

Aww! You two and the apartment are adorable!!

Your place is adorable! It makes me miss living in Spain. Happy for you, glad you're settled down and getting used to London life. Can't wait to hear your new English catch phrases. Wankah!

The place is too cute, and so are both of you! You look decidedly happy and well-adjusted for someone who just moved clear around the world.

Oh really cute! But that bed, haha!
I have good news for you! The shortest day of the year (regarding sunlight) was a week ago so now days are getting longer again! :D

Like Kristabella I wonder "And also, he didn’t bring the treadmill and elliptical with him, did he?"??

And like many other comments I think - "nice kitchen, cute couple"!

Which area of London are you in?

Yay, photos! You did well for a London flat - usually they're tiny and scary looking unless you pay a complete fortune, but yours is so cute and lovely!

Glad everything's going so well, can't wait to hear more :)

Oh my goodness, you two are adorable! And I love that arched window in your kitchen. The whole apartment looks like a lovely place to live with your sweetie :)

And that picture is too cute :)

Cute pic of you two. I see you did a new London-friendly layout on your blog. Awesome!!

The kitchen is cute! You need to girl-ify the apartment, it looks boy ish. That's how the bed looks when Cam "makes" it. Must be a guy thing.

The early darkness must suck- I remember it getting dark at 4pm in Ireland, mentally you think the day is over, it's hard to get used to doing day things in the dark.

Loving the pics.

Nice grey skies I see - but I guess what else should one expect.

Your apartment looks great, it really does.

If I ever moved to London I have this image of having to share a run-down and OLD place with 15 other people and an extra two on the couch.

Great pix!

For what it's worth, my hubby admitted to me that he doesn't know how to properly make a bed. The man is 34 years old. He can completely remodel a room. He could, if given a chance, physically make a bed (as in build it), but sheets and comforters and pillows and what to do with them are somehow out of his grasp.

I guess I should be happy that he cooks, cleans and does most of the laundry...and leave it at that. ;)

Have a GREAT new year!

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures!! I think your place is way bigger than mine. Perhaps that's because we're overrun with boxes at the moment.

And also, you're insanely beautiful!

Well, it's been said but you do look fantastic for someone who's supposed to be sick. Thanks for the pics.

How awesome that you are THAT close to the Thames. That is seriously cool. I love your apartment! It's so cute--the kitchen is the best! Your bed reminds me of what Edgar and my bed looked like when we first moved into an apt. together. Oooh memories.

It's dark at 3:37? Seriously?

You guys look adorable and happy! He must have been so happy to have you back with him!
