On Being a Good Samaritan.

[Today's blog continued from yesterday - go here to catch up!]

Okay, so back to the surprise in the wallet . . . psh, you guys are creative. No, it wasn't birth control pills. Or condoms. Or essence of bat. (Ha!) I didn't mean to leave you hanging but, well, actually, yes I did. I wanted to see what else you come come up with!

In fact, most of you got it. There it was, nestled in with the store reciepts and 5 pound note, an empty pack of pills. There it was: Viagra! The very product that advertising robots spam my blog with on a daily basis. I bet that poor guy didn't expect a random stranger to be finding out his little secret, eh?

I carried the wallet with me for the day, and that afternoon took it to our flat complex porter. He went through the occupancy list, and assured me it would stay in his lost property drawer until the guy came back to claim it. I wonder if the porter will have a bit of a sticky-beak and peep around in there too?

(On the plus side, at least I didn't have to be the one handing back the guy's wallet, because I seriously don't think I could've looked him in the eyes.)

So there you have it, my good deed for the day. I do hope the guy finds it, because the thought of losing my own purse makes me very, very sad. And I don't even have anything as interesting as Viagra in mine. I just think it's a pretty purse.

Have you got anything questionable in your wallet?

Awww man! I was hoping they would be BC or hormone pills!

Hmm...I carry around my BC pills and a small pad in my purse. Is that scandalous?

Um, I waited too long to buy a pocket calendar this year and by the time I went to get it, the only one with the page design I like had multicolored little hearts all over it. That's not in my wallet but it is in my purse. Is that questionable?

When my wallet was stolen by a co-worker a few years back, it still contained a receipt for a vibrator that I had bought that week...

Plus, as a single girl, a condom is always in my wallet, as the feeling of being caught out is not good.

That gives a whole new meaning to those Capital One Credit Card commercials they play here ("What's in your wallet?") ;)

There was a customer at the restaurant i work at once, who phoned about 1/2 hr after he left and said 'this is really embarrassing, but did you happen to find my Viagra pills on the table' *gasp* I guess they must be expensive!! I dont think I could eat at the restaurant again!!

Oh I am glad now I haven't stopped by for a few days, the suspense would have killed me!

Yes - a little awkward to say the least. As for anything embarrassing in my wallet... I must be a bit boring, it's all just old receipts, cards and a bit of cash.

I don't THINK there is anything embarrassing in my wallet. Frequent shopper cards to various stores and lunch places? Debit card? Student ID circa 1999?

I suppose you could have walked around, looking for the guy with the erection that lasted more than 4 hours.

Candy is cracking me up. And no, I think my wallet is safe from totally weird stuff - the scariest thing about it is how freakishly messy it is!

I knew it was Viagra!

I knew that was what it was. Good for you for being such a good person. Hope he gets it back.
