Cake Maternity/Nursing Bras: A Review

Emma is seven months old, and still breastfeeds like an absolute champ! I'm very lucky in that all four of my babies have fed well (even through some initial hiccups like premature births and tongue ties!) - I've been at this nursing gig for some time now. I wonder how many hours I've been feeding over the last decade - I think it would be a pretty impressive figure!

I was so pleased when the lovely team at Cake Maternity reached out to see if I'd be interested in trying and reviewing some of their favourite nursing bras. I've followed their brand for some time now, but hadn't had the chance to purchase - so this opportunity was perfect. Before we start, here's a little about the brand: Cake Maternity are nursing bra specialists who are passionate about breastfeeding and the many benefits it offers to both mum, bub and the environment. Breastfeeding, whilst natural, doesn’t always come naturally and they understand that every woman’s experience is different and at times challenging. Their mission is to empower women as they mindfully navigate the world of motherhood and help make breastfeeding easier, through experience-driven innovation.

When you're breastfeeding, it's important to choose bras that are not only supportive, but also comfortable - if there's one time in your life you're going to be up close & personal with your breasts, it's now! After confirming my measurements and using the fit guide, we narrowed down the selection to three styles:

I've been wearing each of these three bras for the past several weeks, and can happily say that they're both comfortable AND supportive - so much so, that I will struggle going back to my everyday bras now! Now... on we go to my review!

The Tutti Frutti Nursing Bra is one one of the prettiest nursing bras I've encountered. It has a lovely low pluging neckline, a supportive racer-back design, and is so soft and luxurious. Emma can't take her hands off it when I wear it - see below!
Its nursing panels are easy to unclip, and it still has a good amount of modesty covering, even for someone who's bigger busted like myself. Such a beautiful staple piece, I feel really well supported when I wear this bra - and it doesn't feel like your typical dowdy nursing bra. A+ for glam!
The Zest Nursing Sports Bra has been fantastic, especially as I've been jumping back into my fitness after getting the all-clear from my postpartum physio. It's supportive without being restrictive, and being able to nurse while wearing active wear is a game changer for me.
If you're a Mama who loves to get out and go for walks or gym classes with your baby, you're going to love this one.
And last, but certainly not least, my favourite - aka the bra that I'd happily wear every single day for the rest of my life, is the Lotus Hands-free Pumping & Nursing Bra.
This is the COMFIEST lounge bra I have ever worn, and it's not only easy to nurse in, it can also convert to a hands-free pumping bra. Winning! I am planning on heading back to snap up some more of these bad boys.
All in all, I'm thrilled with the selection and the support that these bras have provided, and will be wearing them for many months to come. If you're currently pregnant or breastfeeding, I highly recommend visiting the website and adding some Cake Maternity pieces to your postpartum wardrobe. The hardest part will be decided which ones to add to your cart!

Wacom Intuos: a review

Do your kids love to draw? If you've got a Creative Kid like Georgia, you need to check out the Wacom Intous - it's the perfect tool to get those imaginations running! We've been playing with it this past week, and it's been an absolute breeze to use.

All you need to do is connect your Intuos pen tablet to your PC or Mac, get your kiddos all set up, and you're good to go! It's a great, visual way for your kiddos to create, draw and explore, and really encourages creativity.

You can start simple with younger kids, and take it to the next levels when your children are older - the options are endless! Georgia decided to draw up her own pamphlet on looking after the ocean... completely of her own accord. It was a great conversation starter too!

I love seeing how their minds work when they have the creative freedom, and the resources, to do what they love!

Did you know you can use your $100 Creative Kids Voucher on a Wacom Intuos of your own?

Now's the perfect time to redeem it before the year runs out. Make sure you visit Wacom Australia and snap one up today - what will your tiny humans create on theirs?

Need some ideas on how to keep the kids entertained while at home - perhaps over the upcoming school holidays? Visit the Wacom Blog to read more!

elves in the wardrobe: a review

There are lots of baby and kids brands out there, and it can be hard to know where to start when you're looking to throw your support towards a small business. Elves in the Wardrobe is a one stop shop for organic clothing and accessories, and contain goodies from some of the most eco-friendly international and Australian labels. They're all about sustainability, ethical practices, and the softest organic cotton you'll find!
We have been gifted two beautiful items, and I'm thrilled to share them with you today.

This gorgeous Baby Rabbit Soft Toy would make the sweetest new baby gift or comforter - it's lovely and neutral, and oh so soft. Amelia took one look at it and claimed it as her own, now I don't have the heart to tell her it was a present for new baby! Made from natural, sustainable materials and organic cotton, it's the perfect size for little hands to hold. Isn't he sweet?

Speaking of new baby, this stunning Knitted Cocoon is absolutely exquisite. Made from 100% merino wool, it will keep your baby warm, safe, snug and comfortable without overheating. The Sand colour is perfectly neutral and it is designed to grow with your little one - with arms either in or out. Simply knot the bottom for a comfortable cocoon that will help keep your baby safe and sound from birth to approx 4 months of age.
I have my eyes on some more of their beautiful baby blankets and comforters, and I just know that you're going to love them too. Make sure you pop by and get browsing, but I warn you - there is so much to choose from, it might be best to grab a cuppa and put your feet up before you start!

You can sign up to the newsletter to receive 10% off your first order. Did I mention they have Afterpay available as well as free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $100?

Redsbaby Connect Plus: A Review

We are thrilled to have been one of the first families in Australia to use the brand new CONNECT™ PLUS Baby Carrier recently released by Redsbaby.

This collection has been thoughtfully crafted to nurture a connection between parent and child, and is so comfy to wear. It has a versatile tri-layer system that keeps it at an ideal comfort level for both warm and cooler weather, the only carrier to seamlessly convert between three layers within moments and it's lovely and breathable. The padding is perforated to provide airflow and comfort, and it stops you from getting sweaty under the straps while baby-wearing. And... did I mention it has POCKETS? You can slip your hands in to cradle baby skin-to-skin and provide soothing/comfort as you're wearing them.

Can you spy the beginnings of a new baby bump here? :)

Best of all, they are endorsed and certified by Healthy Hips Australia, which as you know is very important to me with Amelia's ongoing Hip Dysplasia issues. They are ideal for babies both with and without hip dysplasia, as they promote the safe positioning of baby's legs in the M-Position.

The CONNECT™ PLUS can be worn until your child is 3 years old. It has four carry options (inward facing-newborn, inward facing, outward facing and back carry) depending on your baby/toddler's preferences. It suits Amelia now, and we can also use from birth when our new bay arrives later this year.

Make sure you check out the entire range of carriers, high chairs and prams on the Redsbaby website. We can't wait to come back and look for a newborn-suitable pram when Baby #4 arrives!

Are you a fan of baby wearing?

Redsbaby Skip Stroller: a review

Having a baby with hip dysplasia has had its challenges - especially as our journey hasn't been a short one. Finding baby products that are hip-harness friendly has been a huge learning curve for us. Amelia has always worn a Rhino Brace, which keeps her hips abducted by splaying them widely in the correct position - which means that she doesn't necessarily fit into the things the way a regular baby of her age does.

That rang true for her bassinet (which she could not fit comfortably in with the harness on) as well as most regular sleeping bags, and even certain high chairs and prams.

We were recently sent a Redsbaby Skip Stroller to test drive, especially for those times when Amelia is out and about in her harness. Her current regime is to wear it for all sleeps, including day naps. If we are headed out for the day, it's important that she can still wear it while she is sleeping, to ensure she has the maximum amount of harnessed time as she can. The great news? She fits SO well in this little stroller!

The stroller itself is pretty nifty. It folds and unfolds so easily, and it can literally be carried over your shoulder - it's compact, lightweight and user friendly. This is the perfect travel companion, great for when you don't want your full-sized pram taking up loads of space. And when I say lightweight, I mean lightweight: it only weighs 6.5kg!

All of the little details are fantastic - beautiful embossed handlebars, stunning fabric on the hood and seat liner, plus a carry handle for when you fold it up and pop it over your shoulder. The hood is extendable with a zipper, and the basket is easy to access and holds up to 5kg weight.

So now you've seen it up close... how about seeing it in action? Amelia and I went for a walk to our local duck pond and gave it a good whirl! She is quite flexible while wearing her harness, so while her legs stay splayed outwards, she is also able to bend them at the knees - so the test was going to be how well she fit into the Skip Stroller while braced.
It worked SO well! She has fallen asleep in this pram on a few occasions now and if you know Amelia... you'll know that sleep is a miracle! Sign that she's comfy, I'd say. :)

I adjusted the footrest to be up and flat, so her lower limbs were better supported. The seat was reclined to a position that she was comfortable with - something that was as easy as squeezing and pulling. Did I mention that the Skip Stroller has a flat recline option? Perfect for babies of all ages and stages.

If you're after a lightweight option, or a second pram, I highly recommend the Skip. It ticked all of our boxes, and it's the perfect throw-in-the-boot option for all new parents!

EXCITING NEWS: Redsbaby are having a MASSIVE sale on prams and selected items as part of the Spring Frenzy, with 20% off until the 12th November. Grab a bargain while you can!

My Little Love Heart: a review

I swear, Amelia is the MESSIEST baby out of all three of my girls! Whether it's the constant dribble or the rather enthusiastic eating habits she has .. she's always a hot mess. And this Mama? She hates mess!! These beautiful handmade pieces from My Little Love Heart are just stunning, and perfect for keeping bub tiny (and adorable) during the day.

Bibs and teethers in beautiful neutral designs, made to perfection and best of all, from an Australian small business. Winning all round I'd say! There are loads of beautiful gift sets to choose from, in all sorts of patterns, prints and neutrals, as well as other beautiful keepsakes and treasures to shop for too.
They also make the sweetest headbands, that suit from newborns right through to little girls. Aren't they just so sweet?

Fantastic Services: a review

Life with three kids is noisy, it's fun, it's exhausting, but most of all... it's MESSY.
Hands up if you feel like you're never getting on top of the housework? I've threatened many times to just give up and clean the house properly when the kids move out (oh, in about 20 years time) - it's the never ending tasks that sometimes pile up and make it all seem too hard. Mum life = a constant juggling act!
We were lucky enough to be #gifted a domestic cleaning service recently from Fantastic Services and goodness, I am well and truly hooked. We have a double storey house, so we chose a few targeted rooms that we felt needed a little TLC - particularly bathrooms, kitchens and general living areas, as they get the most foot traffic on a daily basis.
The team arrived promptly, carried all of their own cleaning products, and were courteous and kind throughout the entire process. I was slightly mortified at just how messy our home was at the beginning of the clean, but the team were judgement free and got straight into the (rather enormous) task at hand.
Our kitchen and living area looked fantastic when they were done... and don't even get me started on the bathrooms - amazing.
Coming up to Christmas, a house clean would be an amazing idea for a family who enjoys useful or practical gifts for the festive season - or as a treat for yourself. Go on, you're worth it!
Best of all, if you use my referral code to register yourself on the website, you'll automatically get a $20 credit into your account ready for you to use - how cool is that?
What sort of service would you make use of - a one off clean, or perhaps something more regular?

Security

I've been having discussions with fellow mum friends lately, about the internet & all that comes with it. I've used this space for such a long time now, it's second nature to share posts without a care in the world. Without it, I wouldn't have met so many of you lovely folks, and some of my closest friends.

It's easy to forget that there's a dark side to the internet, though. That there are people who would use it for malicious purposes, or worse. That there are people reading who might be doing so for the wrong reasons.
With that said, I've decided to go back and edit a few posts about Georgia - not stop sharing her story altogether, but just adjusting things for privacy's sake. If you see a few things change, or a few pictures vanish, you'll know why.
Going forward, I think I'll limit her exposure here a little bit & see how we go.. or I may change the entire blog to being a private one. If I did that, you'd need to contact me, get an invite, and then log in to read - not a lot of work, but I know it may put certain folks off. What are your thoughts on that?

Hippo Blue: A Review

I love finding new Australian retailers, particularly ones that have lovely customer service. I came across Hippo Blue earlier in the year when looking for items for my daughter. At the time, I didn't end up purchasing - but when I was approached a few weeks back asking if I'd be interested in taking a look at some of their personalised stationery products, I was VERY excited!

I was hoping to receive a few different items so that I'd have a better idea of what the products looked like in person, but I received the personalised calendar planner on its own.

Don't mind the security blur on the images - but as you can see, it was made specially for our family. The monthly planner came with enough individual sheets to last a year, and they are unlabelled - so you can add in your dates whenever you receive them. It's also got enough room down the side to add in extra information that might not fit within the smaller squares.

I'm constantly telling hubby when we have things on, and he's constantly forgetting what I tell him - so this works well for both of us! This picture was taken before I filled it in with the dozens of Christmas & holiday things we have going on - but it's perfect for the fridge door. No excuses for not remembering what's coming up now! :)

It was very simple to use the website: pick your item of choice, choose your design & colours, add in the personalised text you're after & choose a font. After that, it's as easy as waiting for your items to be despatched.

The paper is lovely & I was really happy with the colours I chose - the only thing that could make it better would be if the sheets came on a pad of some kind, instead of loose sheets of paper.

They have lots of goodies on the website that would make great Christmas gifts, so check them out! What sort of items would you find useful to be personalised?

Hopes & Dreams: 3 Months In!

We're almost a quarter of the way through 2014 already, can you believe it? I thought I might take the time to update on how things are going around these parts, because I'm feeling pretty darned great about this year.

  • Georgia ~ I've been taking lots of pictures, and watching her growing up from a wee baby into this cute little toddler. In the last few weeks, she seems to have shot up again - her face has changed, she's lost a lot of her chunky baby thighs (sniff) -- growing too fast. She's been through the wars with some more teething & a cold, and we've been starting to wean; meaning we've had a clingy, sad wee one for a while. Thankfully we're coming out the other side, and that trademark cheeky grin has come out again. :)
  • Read ~ I'm currently reading 'Twelve Years a Slave', which is book #5 of the year so far. I've also just purchased all of the 'Game of Thrones' novels as a bundle for $20 - so I have a LOT of epic reads ahead of me. I've read the first two, but I keep getting distracted...
  • Move ~ I have consistently exercised every Monday/Wednesday/Friday since January 1st, with no excuses. Mostly runs, but sometimes workout DVDs and/or walks. I'm down almost 7kg and feeling really good, running 5km stretches now.
  • Cook ~ I'm really proud of how much I've cooked so far this year. We haven't spent a lot on eating out at all, apart from the odd Thai food meal with friends. And, best of all, I'm lucky enough to be getting a shiny new cooking device for my 30th, which will help to REALLY spice things up in the kitchen.
  • TTC ~ Watch this space; not a great deal of things to report here yet, but we're working on it!
How's your year going so far?

anticipate + venture

Well, I made it: thirty-one promts later & #weverb14 for January is done! It's been great thinking of my previous year & the year ahead, and what do you know? It's already February. Time flies when you're having fun.
30. anticipate
What are you waiting for in 2014?
I'm - we're - waiting for the right time to start planning for potential baby #2. I say potential, because there's just no guarantee with these things, but a girl can hope! I want to get to a healthier weight, and we need to save more $$$ first, but when the time is right - hopefully we can attempt, or at least plan to attempt another batch of IVF this year. We have 2 frozen embyros that might just help us out there, though having never gone through a FET before, I have no idea how that will go. For now, we wait & I dream. Even closer though, is Georgia's first birthday party. It's been great fun planning it; and we still have eight weeks to go!
31. venture
Stop saying I wish; start saying I will! What 14 things will you accomplish in 2014?
1. I will finish 6 books - and push myself to get through more if I can.
2. I will move - in some way - at least three times per week.
3. I will cook as much as I can, and experiment with new recipes as well as the old faithfuls.
4. I will organise more date nights with hubby so that we can have some baby-free time.
5. I will take more baths after the baby is in bed.
6. I will read to Georgia often and loudly, and hopefully pass on my love of learning to her.
7. I will stop letting the bathroom get so dirty before cleaning it. {I hate cleaning my bathroom.}
8. I will try to curb my swearing. A little. Hey, I said TRY. :)
9. I will keep on blogging, and writing what comes into my mind.
10. I will plan a fabulous 1st birthday party for my girl, just close family & friends.
11. I will continue taking fifteen million photographs of Georgia and documenting her growing up.
12. I will stop comparing milestones between babies & focus on all the amazing things Georgia CAN do.
13. I will donate more baby things to charity.

14. I will always remember how lucky I am when spending time with my little family.

move + spark + retire

27. move
Is 2014 a year for more walking or more running?
A little bit of both! I don't want to get ahead of myself, since it's only January - but so far, it's been a cracker of a January. I've done 11 runs in January. I've completed four weeks of the Couch 2 5K program. I've run a 5k on the treadmill. I've MOVED. It's been a wonderful beginning to the year. That said, I don't want the year to run away from me too quickly; the last 10 months have already disappeared WAY too fast. I'm more than happy to walk through some of it, so that I don't miss a single moment of Georgia growing up!
28. spark
What creative thing do you do that lights a spark in your soul? How will you create more sparks in 2014?
This little girl is the spark in our lives. Everything we do, we do for her. {Sing that to the tune of Bryan Adams, if you like.} Watching her learn new skills is such a treasure. This afternoon I was playing with her on the floor - hitting a few keys on her xylophone toy. She grabbed the stick from me & smashed out a few notes of her own, to which I clapped & cheered; the grin she gave me was priceless. She was so pleased with herself! We'll keep doing fun things, letting her experience new events, and introducing her to new places this year, which will be great fun.
29. retire
What will you retire from your life in 2014?
I'm trying to retire my old bad habits - being lazy! But really, I'm trying to focus on the year ahead & not worry so much about the years gone by. The future is more important than the past. Bring it on! :)

dare + cull + transfer

24. dare
What will you dare to do in 2014?
I'm daring to hope. Hope that the future is going to be bright; hope that we can continue to raise Georgia to be a happy & healthy little girl; hope that the year brings us some lovely surprises. Hey, a girl can dare to dream, right?
25. cull
What items are sitting on your to-do list? When will you do them?
My to-do list this year was to focus on my hopes & dreams {in lieu of resolutions for 2014} - and I'm working on them! 6 books in 2014, move more & blog more, and get cooking! Things are already in motion & I'm really chuffed. So far, I'm trying to do them already - the real task is going to be keeping them going throughout the year.
26. transfer
Think about everyone in your life - what do you want them to have this year?
I want them to have HAPPY moments. It's going to be an amazing year for a lot of my friends and family members - 1st birthdays (Georgia + her baby friends), 30th birthdays (me!), 50th birthdays (mum!) & we all deserve to enjoy every moment that's ahead of us. I still can't believe that January is almost over; 2014 is going to fly!

read + guide + discover

21. read
What do you want to read about this year?
I just want to read, in general. ;) I'm working on it! But honestly - I'd like to read about more success stories. I want to read tweets/blog posts/emails from my long-term TTC/IF friends with good news. I still read along the forum posts from my fertility clinic, to follow along with those who have graduated, but also those who are still there. Hopefully we can have more positive stories to read about this year; everyone deserves the chance to be a parent.
22. guide
Do you have a quote/motto/saying for 2014?
Move. Just move. Even if it's a little bit. Move! And if you can go a little bit further - even better! I'm trying so hard to work with this - and guess what? This morning, I ran my first 5km. 5km! This coming from the person who, 25 days ago, was barely exercising at all. Move, move, move. I can totally do this!
23. discover
What was something new you discovered in 2013 from a friend? What do you want to share with others this year?
I discovered the joy of solid foods - thankfully, I have some amazing mama friends who were my gurus. Talking me through purees, mixes, snack foods & combinations to start Georgia on - it was so welcomed, because I was a nervous wreck before starting, particularly when it came to finger foods. {Choking, gagging, ERMAGERD.} I'd like to share any parenting advice or helpful tidbits that I learn over the year with other folks, to pay it forward.

secure + build + believe

18. secure
Are you happy with who you are today, compared to who you were a year ago?
It's so cheesy, but I LOVE who I am today. I love being a Mum, I love having time to focus on home & family. I feel like I'm the same person, but different. I don't have the energy for time wasting, and I feel like life has thrown a few curve balls at us for a reason - to shape the years to come, perhaps? Either way, I'm happy. Happy is good!
19. build
You get to build something this year - what is it?
I'd like to build a strong routine; and I'm getting there. Mon/Wed/Fri are exercise days - just for me. Monday nights are our family nights. We have a great little morning routine that we've built, and I love. Those things are really important to me. But physically? I'd like to build a washing line outside. We never bothered with one before, since Spencer was a destructive puppy & would have probably yanked all of our clothes off the line. I do all our washing and hanging indoors, which is fine - but it means our front room has turned into a laundry room. My poor visitors are greeted with hanging knickers as they walk in the door! ;) It's fine for us now, but as time progresses, it's getting harder to fit all of our + baby's washing there, so that's a goal for us this year.
20. believe
It's 2014: what do you believe in?
I believe in science. I believe that without it, we wouldn't have our little girl. I believe that she is worth every cent of the money we 'spent' to help bring her into our family. I believe that she's a special one, this kid; totally meant for us. I believe that when the time comes to attempt trying for #2 {& if we're lucky} she'll be an amazing big sister. I believe that she's one of the funniest, cutest babies on the planet - but then, I'm slightly biased there!! :)

watch + breathe

16. watch
What movie(s) did you see in 2013 that you would recommend to a friend?
Probably 'The Hobbit'. I love, love, LOVED the Lord of the Rings trilogy - I'd read the books and really enjoyed them. But as for the novel of 'The Hobbit', I just couldn't get into it. When hubby wanted to see the first movie, I wasn't too keen. I was about 30 weeks pregnant at the time, and didn't think my bladder would last the full session, let alone actually enjoy it! I was pleasantly surprised. We also saw the second Hobbit film at the end of the year, which was just as good. I'm keen on attempting the book again, just to see if it's a little less difficult this time around. Definitely worth seeing, if it's your thing.
17. breathe
How did you make space + peace for yourself in 2013? How will you increase that in 2014?
Taking a bath! I love our spa in the en suite, but it's a luxury I didn't make much use of while TTC or Pregnant - and then didn't have TIME for with a newborn! I've taken to having one at nights once Georgia is in bed, and it's been glorious. Never underestimate the power of bubbles. Lots of bubbles.

cultivate + share + emulate

13. cultivate
What creativity or talent did you cultivate in 2013? What do you want to enhance this year?
I didn't feel particularly creative this past year - really, I probably only got my design pants on when it came to picking how I wanted Georgia's nursery to pan out. I am really happy with how it ended up, and I STILL love going in there now. We have a few additional canvases to put up on the walls, but otherwise, it's stayed quite the same - and I think it will for a while yet. This year, I'm trying to write more - not always here, but in journals too. I'm really hoping to foster my talent of super-fast-book-reading too, but having a baby has really changed that! Instead, I'm sticking to my goal of trying for 6 books this year. I'm still plugging away through #1...
14. share
You've been asked to give a 2-minute presentation on 'my biggest lesson of 2013' to a group of friends/colleagues/family members. Share!
The biggest lesson of 2013 was about patience. I could give a million spiels about how becoming a parent has changed my life, but everybody knows that by now! When you're trying to fall pregnant, patience is your worst enemy. When you're working with a known infertility cause {like PCOS and/or male factors} getting in to see a specialist and working out a plan of action can take forever. And then even MORE trying, and waiting, and disappointment - ugh. Patience is just... crap. It may be a virtue, but it's crap. I'm just saying. ;) In 2013, we waited for the baby to arrive - but this time, I was patient. She could come when she was ready to come. All that said, this time it was HER that was impatient, since she decided to surprise us early over the Easter weekend! Good things did come to those who wait{ed} - and so now, we wait for the next challenges, like Georgia's milestones - all we need is a little bit of patience - she'll crawl when she's good & ready to crawl. ;)
15. emulate
Is there someone you want to emulate in 2014? Why and how?
When I grow up, I want to be like my Nanna. She was always really kind and cheerful; she tried seeing positives in most things. I tend to get into worst-case scenario mode & I'm NOT the most delightfully happy person all of the time, but I'm working on it. Having Georgia has helped there! I miss my Nanna so much, it makes me smile to remember her. While I'm thrilled she held on to meet the baby, I'm sad that Georgia won't get to know her in person like we did. I hope that by trying to be more positive and SMILEY like she was, she'll get a little bit of Nan through us.

What personal strengths will you use this year that you developed in 2013?
I carried a baby for almost 37 weeks. I gave birth, mostly of my own accord, and brought my daughter into the world. I fought for her when she was in special care, and fought for her during the early weeks of breastfeeding. Being her mum has taken more strength than I thought I had - and I've loved every second of it. Every time we battle through a learning curve, a cranky baby, a new experience, it's taught me to be stronger. 2014 is going to be about taking care of myself, so that I can be the best mum for her; that means getting healthy! :)

What was your favourite food item/ingredient in 2013? What do you want to eat more or less of in 2014?
While I was pregnant last year, I drank a LOT of milk. I was always looking for quick snacks, and dairy products seemed to do the trick. While I was parenting a newborn, non-sleeping baby, food kind of became a lesser priority; so I developed bad habits of skipping meals & snacking a whole lot. This year, I'd like to eat MORE - more regularly, more quality foods & more veggies. That's a big stretch for me, since I'm a notoriously fussy eater, but I'm trying!
