Me, Me, Me.

Forgive me for today's random post, but am quite literally about to fall asleep on the keyboard. For some reason, this weekend has taken it out of me.

#I like bullet points. So I'm going to use bullet points today. Yes I am.

#I hate the Australian public. Seriously, voting for Matt over Carl in Idol? Crazy.

#I'm in love with several songs: "Breathe In Breathe Out" by Mat Kearney, "Into the Night" by Santana & Chad, and "Lost Without Each Other" by Hanson. Nerd.

#I learnt how to copy text on a Mac. You learn something new every day.

#I have 30 school days to go for this term. Actually, 29 now. How bizarre.

#I'm more than slightly peeved about missing out on the Bon Jovi concert in January. Do you think it would be too soon to fly back to Sydney for a visit?

#I was busted in mid-groove on the treadmill this afternoon, as I belted out Snow Patrol lyrics whilst walking and shimmying. Hi, Mum. I was just stretching. And yawning. And walking. All at the same time. No karaoke-dancing here.

#I exercised for an hour today, after a hiatus due to hurting my foot while running. A few weeks off and I'm back to being unfit: I really need to get back in shape.

#I worked out a date for a backyard going away barbeque, and am now in the process of spreading the word. It's nothing flash, but I'm still left hoping that people will actually want to come to it - otherwise I have a feeling it'll just be me and the sausages. If only I could invite you guys. Oh, maybe I could just make some cardboard cutouts of my bloggy friends and prop them up in random places around the backyard. (You'll have to excuse the craziness, am very tired.)

You don't sound lonely and pathetic. Of course *real* ppl would go to your farewell BBQ. :P

I am sure there will be a ton of people attending your going away BBQ. I wish I could come. A barbie would be just the thing I need right now. It's been snowin here and gale force winds have swept over our area. I miss summer.

i want a cardboard cutout of me to come to your party! well, i want to be the one to come to your party, but barring that, i totally want a cutout to be there. :)

I'm REAL and a BLOGGER (and only 10 minutes away). Too weird to meet you at your farewell party? Weird or just ironic? :-)

If I lived near you, I'd go just to hear your accent. (I love Aussie accents.) Then again, if I lived near you, I'd probably have it, too. Heh.

I use a Mac at work, and it took me a while to get used to using the copy/paste options on the keyboard, but now I like it and think it's faster than doing it with the mouse. :)

Count me with Lara. I'd so be there, but in lieu of that, at least my cutout will not drink as much!

Tell me where to send my cardboard cutout and I'm so there!

I'm sending a cardboard cutout, too! Don't mind if I slim the thighs down a little with an x-acto knife. This is going to be a rockin', totally recyclable party!

If I lived near you, I'd so come to your BBQ!

Also, I used Macs all through college and was very upset to move to a PC after I graduated. I kept looking for the Apple key. Now I have to use both at my current job, which makes me very confused sometimes when I hit Alt+V and nothing pastes.

But then again, I'm an idiot. :)

The keyboard is definitely the way to rock! Take it from a computer programmer -- rodents are soooo 1980s!

Definitely going to have to put up a cardboard cutout of me for it, as much as I would like to be there and take part in your succulent snags.

And hey...speaking of -- if nobody showed up, that just leaves more sausages for you, right? And that's *never* a bad thing.

Will you put a glass of champagne by my cutout? Thanks a million!

I'm a big fan of bullet points.

Also, it's so weird getting use to Macs after using Windows forever. Now that I have my Mac I'm so use it it, it's weird using a PC!

count my cardboard cut-out in for lots to eat, because I love bbq!

Dang, I forgot an entire word on my comment. It's supposed to say, "please make me look 30 pounds thinner."

Kristie said...

I wanna come to the barbeque! But when you make my cardboard likeness, please me look 30 pounds thinner. Thanks!

some bullets for you:

* Thanks to you - I became hooked to google reader

* Love Hanson. Still. Love.

* An HOUR!? Now feeling like a lazy slob.

* Newly purchased Mac at home and PC at work. It makes for confusion. Macs are so much prettier, doncha think?

Firstly, Aly, like you, I am OUTRAGED at the STUPIDITY of our fellow Australians, voting in a 16y.o guy who uses more hair product than my whole street, and also enjoys wearing METALLICS AND SEQUINS! TOGETHER! Need I say more. Go Natalie!
Also hate the judges, for not even bothering to show Carl any support. With crap like "it wouldn't be a final without Corby!" who needs enemies? I thought they were supposed to be unbiased. Idiots.

I am also loving "Into the Night", very sexy song.
And I think you'll need to have a cutout for me too, unfortunately. And I can have a cutout of you at my wedding! (Because I don't think you'll be back by then?)

Me likes bullet points. You done good. I was tired when I read it and the bullets helped me to focus in on your post!

Just me again...
Letting you know that I tagged you for the 7 Weird/Random Facts About Me meme! Yay!
(Totally optional of course!)

ha! Oh how you sound like me! My husband gets fed up with me mentioning things like, "this blogger I know.." he doesn't understand and just replies, "No. You don't know those people."

kirby said...

I agree with that Matt Corby thing. OUTRAGED I am... I hate that little tosser. When you look at him, he's really not that good looking at all, what do these silly teenage girls see in him?
But they'd probably ask me the same thing about Mifsud.
Singin' ehhh oh eeh oh ehh ooh EHH

I am SO coming to your party! In spirit, at least...

everything that you would do on a PC using the "control" button, just press the apple button on a Mac instead and voila!

so paste would be "apple" V. see now you can copy AND paste text ;)

kris said...

don't u hate that u only were off for one week and ur back to square one?
ugh!
I love singing on the machines too.......only..mine is on my porch and my neighbors can hear...oy!

laughed out loud at your cardboard cutouts idea. That would be so funny!

and seriously this Texas girl loves learning your fun words - "It’s nothing flash"!

"Oh, maybe I could just make some cardboard cutouts of my bloggy friends and prop them up in random places around the backyard. (You’ll have to excuse the craziness, am very tired.)"

Teehee.

I will be there, in person. I've booked you in for that weekend. I can't believe I'm actually busy for the next 4 consecutive weekends. I'm NEVER busy.

I'm sorry, I can't resist.

"it'll just be me and the sausages." ... that's what she said.
