Fickle As A Cucumber.

If you're someone who stops by via a feed burner, you probably won't notice anything particularly different about today's blog. Except for the strange title which was an inside joke of mine a few years ago, to which I can't remember the punchline for anymore. But if you still view blogs via their original links, you might notice that I've been changing themes like crazy.

Normal grey theme; nope. Stripes; argh. Floral; gorgeous, but just won't work. Basic; gah, boring. Random spotty blue & white design; that'll do for now.

Back before I had the ability to choose any random themes for myself, I complained about not having enough of a selection to choose from. Now that I am able to decide what I want? I'm having the hardest time finding a blog design that is me. There are countless sites out there with free wordpress themes, definitely; but I've only found the occasional one that fits what I'm looking for. Sadly though, all of the designs that I fell in love with, are ones that won't let you fiddle around with the widgets.

(Does that last sentence sound naughty or what?)

I'm sure there is a way around this, but considering that I have the technological skills of a toddler, I'm pretty much stuck.

I'd love to find a new theme ready for NaBloPoMo, but so far, no luck. This one will do for now, because I fear that if I keep searching this morning, my head may just explode. Instead, I'm putting it out there and leaving my blog in your capable hands; have you got any magnificent websites to share with sassy themes? I'm partial to free ones, because I am cheap. And hopeless. But am cheerful! And endearing! You know you want to help . . .

Ya know what? I've always loved your old theme. :D

I have to put aside like, a whole day, to search themes because there are so many. It's great fun though to test themes out and see your blog, posts and all, in it, just to see what it would look like, hehe.

Wow! That's really bright. But where's our cute picture of Alynda grinning at us like she's up to something?

Wow!
Had to check to make sure I clicked the right link!
I do like this though - very stylish! But, you definitely need your piccie back!
Now you know how I feel with the themes, I can't even choose one that's not in the dashboard without forking out cash... hence the constant changings of headers. Heh.
I like!

Well, you have to choose something you love, of course (I've been having some design issues with my sad little LJ lately, too), but this blue, spotty theme? Very, very nice. Simple, with a gorgeous colour, and the dots just scream 'click me!'

I just got a theme from Court's optimised for SEO themes and customised it to make it me. ;) It's actually really easy to do that, I was surprised.

Search Engine Optimized Wordpress Themes

Wait till you see what I've done to it. Ok, you don't have to wait, email me and I'll give you the url for a sneak peek. ;)

Cheers,

I like the new layout. And I love fiddling with widgets too. *Waggles eyebrows* Hahaha.

I too love a bit of widget fiddling....

Hmmm. I like it. I'm thinking about changing mine somehow, too, but I rarely get the cmputer at home and already spend too much time writing at work ;-)

Sniff! I miss your pic! I miss the sophisticated, dark and somewhat mysterious theme with the artsy white flower. This format also isn't very easy on my eyes either I'm afraid!!! But don't worry, I am old and VERY resistant to change!

Totally did a double take when I visited this morning, I looooooooooove changing my blog, and sometimes there are periods of time where I change things daily. I'm not overly pleased with the look of my page this month, but I wanted it to be spooky for halloween. I'm hoping to have a fancy-pantz new look coming up soon. I really like the new color for alyndabear, but agree that it's disappointing to not see your smiling face along with your writing...

I liked your old one just fine, but this one works too. By the way, I need your email address so I can send you that recipe you asked for. Help a lazy girl out.

Just noticed I like the comment section better with this theme. I can actually see every letter I type before posting. The other one would go off in it's own little space and I would have to pray that I was spelling words correctly. Sorry, I'm rambling. Have a good day.

I'm a feed reader person, so I missed all of the switches, but I like this one! It's really easy to use and read plus being very slick and cute. Good luck on the search!

I haven't been keeping up with your changing themes because I usually read you via my RSS reader, but I really like the one you have right now. Very cute!

I can't believe you don't remember the story behind fickle as a pineapple/cucumber anymore :O

I used this theme for a while, I also really liked it. :) But I have the same issues you have finding a theme I really really like. I wish I was good at graphic design to make one of my own that is really me.

Fickle as a cucumber probably came from fickle as a
pickle?

Just a thought anyway.
