This Post Does Not Exist.

I just had this huge post typed up, but then ended up closing it down in the midst of a snark fit. Bella Rabbit is doing okay; her eye has calmed down, but she is still sitting in the corner with it closed most of the time which doesn't look good. Meaning? I'm still a worried mum, who is not really in the mood for blogging.

Instead, I am leaving you with a request.

Can you please distract me with your best walking/running songs? Some of you might know that I've been walking at least 30 minutes a day for the last month or so, and I'm exhausting my playlist a little. Give me some of your favourites, save me from a future of walking to the same angry songs over and over.

Happy Easter.

I just consulted my workout list and it said:

Kelly Clarkson - Walk Away
Christina Aguilera - Fighter
Madonna - things from Confessions on a Dance Floor, such as Get Together
old school Paula Abdul - like from the early 90s

I can't believe I just admitted that so I am going to stop now....

These are 3 of the songs I can remember on my workout list:

"All fired up" - Pat Benetar
"Funky Cold Medina" - Tone Loc
"'Get you alone" - Thicke

Big hugs to Bella.

Alright, this is going to get embarrassing, but, well... anything in the name of being fit, right? Anyway, here are any of the songs that are most likely to be deemed okay while I'm huffing along on the elliptical or rocking out with the weights or even sometimes running the track. Different speeds, but you'll find decent (or at least ambiguous and therefore interesting) lyrics and always a good beat. For the record -- NSYNC, the Spice Girls, Hanson, and Ashlee Simpson are some of workout favorites. The songs I listed are just the ones I currently use.

Amy Winehouse -- Rehab
Kanye West -- Gold Digger
Blue October -- Into the Ocean
Fiona Apple -- Tymps
Teddy Geiger -- For You I Will (Confidence)
Ashlee Simpson -- Pieces of Me
Beyonce -- Irreplaceable
Josh Turner -- Would You Go With Me
Mika -- Grace Kelly
Mika -- Love Today
Mika -- Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)
(Ah, hell -- most all of Mika's album)
Regina Spektor -- Fidelity
NSYNC -- Bye Bye Bye
Aerosmith -- Love in an Elevator
Alex Lloyd -- Amazing
Ashley Parker Angel -- Let U Go
Sublime -- Santeria
Robbie Williams -- Millennium
Queen -- You're My Best Friend
Marvin Gaye -- Let's Get It On
Liz Phair -- Why Can't I?
Gin Blossoms -- Hey Jealousy
Gladys Knight -- Midnight Train to Georgia
Hanson -- MMMBop
Jack's Mannequin -- Into the Airwaves

You have Regina Specktor! AND Santeria, I like you. I really do.

Ok, here are some suggestions... but be aware, some will be extremely cheesy.

Rocking The Suburbs - Ben Folds Five
We Didn't Start The Fire - Billy Joel
Bleed Like Me - Trapt
Four Minute Warning - Mark Owen
Aint That Just The Way - Lutricia McNeal
All Night Long - Lionel Richie
Warning - GreenDay
Friday On My Mind - The Easy Beats
Unloveable - Darren Hayes
Addicted - Kelly Clarkson
Humping Around - Bobby Brown (LOL!)
The Floor - Johnny Gill
Be Myself Again - Eric Benet

Ok that'll do :P

Regina Spektor is indeed excellent. That's happy walking music though. Good angry walking music:

Pretty much any Rage Against the Machine song, especially things like "Sleep Now in the Fire" and "Maggie's Farm"

Sounds nuts, but the first six or so songs off the XXX soundtrack are great for walking, as is song number 11, I think. I don't know the names of the songs, sorry. :(

Or you could go another way and get some good dance walking songs. Pretty much anything from a Queer as Folk soundtrack (first three seasons particularly) would work really well for that. So does The Prodigy.

One good song to start a walk with is 'Til I Collapse by Eminem. Normally I hate this guy, but I really like this song. Also Marilyn Manson's album "The Golden Age of Grotesque" is a good walk album. LOTS of drums.

Goin' Out West by Tom Waits or Gomez, whichever version you prefer.

Here endeth my strange music.

I checked your comments to see what the suggestions would be! I'm horrible about actually getting music onto my iPod. I'm so impressed that you've been walking 30 minutes a day. I've never done that on a consistent 7-day-a-week basis. Good for you! :)

love you, chica!

I really don't think you can go past 'girlfriend' by avril. Really, her best yet. Such musical craftsmanship.

I don't run/walk much...so I'm no help there. :P

but I do hope Bella gets better :)

*Hugs* to Bella.

I like the angry stuff personally...I'm all about Disturbed and Guns N' Roses. Also, here are a couple of others straight from my MP3 (as of yet unnamed, still):

Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar on Me
Modest Mouse - Float On
Journey - Separate Ways
No Doubt - Spiderwebs
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop
The Clash - Train in Vain
David Bowie - Modern Love
ELO - Sweet Talkin' Woman
Foo Fighters - All My Life, Everlong, about a million others

I have a million I want too...the first that comes to mind is Gwen Stefani - Hella Good...and all kinds of other obscure rock stuff from satellite radio.

LOL, no idea if that helps! Go you for walking...

I'm afraid I can't be of much help here, as I generally read while walking on the treadmill (or watch Home & Garden Television. SO addicted!). Hugs for your bunny, though.
